Fundraisers
Dressage Affaire, Del Mar Horsepark, Mar 12-14, 2010 This is our 3rd annual silent auction fundraiser at the fabulous Dressage Affaire Donations of items for the silent auction welcomed. Haley Glaser Scented sachets fundraiser Haley is a 12-year-old girl who lives in western New York. She has loved horses and has enjoyed riding regularly since she was a little girl. She has always had a special place in her heart for horses, and even broken bones and frozen weather have not deterred her from riding. Haley has organized a charity project in honor of her Bat-Mitzvah, a Jewish ritual coming of age ceremony. After much thought, she decided to sell scented sachets to raise money for Saving Horses, Inc. This combines her love of sewing and making crafts, with her love of horses. She first heard about organizations that save horses from slaughter and other dangerous situations in an issue of Young Rider magazine. She was inspired to do something to help this noble cause. Haley is now selling sachets in a wide range of colors and scents to raise money to donate exclusively to Saving Horses, Inc. She chose the name of her project, “One Hoof at a Time”, because she would like to save as many horses as possible, one hoof at a time. The sachets are priced at a suggested minimum of $15, and Haley can be reached at onehoof@gmail.com, if you would like to make a donation, buy a sachet, or learn more. Shop at Horse.com and earn money for SHI rescue horses.
